Effects And Processing
Power Studio can use processing settings for workflows such as voice tracking and rendered dynamic content.
Configure processing only when the station has a clear purpose for it. Keep the chain simple and predictable for on-air use.
VST Effects
Power Studio supports 32-bit VST2 effects. Use 32-bit VST2 plugins only; 64-bit plugins and VST3 plugins are not suitable for this workflow.
When VST effects are used, store them in the configured VST folder and document which effects are part of the station setup. If an effect does not appear in Power Studio, first confirm that it is a 32-bit VST2 plugin and that it is installed in the configured VST folder.
Before using effects in production:
- Confirm the effect is a 32-bit VST2 plugin.
- Confirm the plugin is stable on the Power Studio computer.
- Confirm it does not add unwanted latency.
- Keep presets backed up.
- Avoid changing processing during an active broadcast.
Use the same processing setup on comparable workstations when presenters move between rooms.
Processing Profiles
Processing profiles define effect chains that can be selected in workflows such as the Recorder and Mix Editor. A profile can contain one or more effects from the available plugin list.
Use simple names that describe the output purpose. For example:
Voice track cleanupPodcast exportProduction limiter
When changing a profile, render or record a short test and listen to the result before using it in production. Keep previous profile settings documented when they are important for recurring programs.
